I hope you celebrated-you deserve it! I know that I will if I get there. Until then, xanax and grimacing it is!

Considering NYC rebts, that’s quite a boon for her.

Exactly! Like, if you had to randomly conjure up an image of a Ralp Lauren model in your head, it would look a lot like her.

YOU JUST MADE MY DAY!

I know, right? Like, slow it down, you’re making the rest of them look bad (worse?)

Fun fact! She worked as a child model (for Ralph Lauren, natch) and she modeled for Ivanka’s online store. She was also the face of the ‘hourglass adventures’ kid’s novels, with which I am totally unfamiliar.

All very true, especially the part about Diana being an excellent sport about it.

I think dudes can! Full disclosure: this answer is based entirely on a commercial I’v seen a billion times where a young man who has contracted HPV blames his mom anddad for not getting him vaccinated (it’s actually a very effective commercial).

Not commenting on the rest of it, but Doug Stanhope made what was obviously a twitter joke, not an admission at all.

Some folks also prefer to use ‘women’ and ‘men’ because thoseterms refer to one’s gender, while ‘female’ and ‘male’ refer to one’s biological sex. It’s not necessarily a widespread practice, but it’s just an approach some people prefer. And as YoSup said, noun modifiers are a thing.

Exactly- they are all about not getting anything done. I know this is a statement and not an actual attempt to get something passed, but it’s almost tough to see it make it this far when you know it can’t pass.

I admire the effort, but I’m cautious because the current congress is a bit of a shitshow. And Trump is...Trump. That’s wonderful! Mine could turn into cancer, but it hasn’t so far, and for that I’m super grateful. I keep hoping my body will kick it out, but every year it’s still there, my little infectious buddy.

Exactly. I talk to the people who’v been around forever- like payroll people, or other admin people, and they always say he’s a lawsuit waiting to happen. Everyone knows he’s a problem. Everyone knows he abuses his power and says totally inappropriate things. No one will do anything. None of the folks who have the

I...does that mean pretty people don’t work hard? Or if you work hard you aren gonna be pretty? What if you’re just ok looking, can you work moderately hard? Or does this have nothing to do with looks at all? So many layers...

You aren’t exposing hypocrisy though. You are willfully ignoring nuance to proceed as you please.

I work at a big university, with a prof. as my boss. Some of his terrible behavior is not socially acceptable, some is disallowed by the university, some is not legal. I am not in a position to do anything about it if I want to keep my job, and I need to keep my job badly.

I got 2 of the 3 and ended up in the same boat (minus the sexual assault- I’m so sorry that happened to you).

Me too. And it totally bit me in the ass.
