I know-I’m a moron.

I left some of that hot, pine-smelling wax on too long and it hardened to the point that tentatively pulling on it made my right labia feel like it was going to be denuded of both hair and skin. I broke it up and used a whole bottle of oil to remove it (safely, sans skin/hair, mostly).

Oh jesus christ, grow a pair of ovaries, Gucci. You are coming across like scared child cowering in a corner. History will view you as having bowed and scraped to the man responsible for the darkest, most regressive period in American politics-and not even a smart but evil man, but a giant, thin-skinned baby who can’t

Truly a beautiful and true sentiment.

I see the perspective of this article, and I understand where it is coming from, but I just don’t agree. Sims was not trying to cure these women. That implies that he was using known medical procedures on them. He was experimenting on a vulnerable population that may or may not have verbally consented (is it realistic

Replace every monument or portrait of this man with representations of the women he abused and victimized. They suffered so medical science could advance and they should be recognized for their contribution. He deserves not one more day of recognition.

This is such dark humor, and I really appreciate that.

HAHAHA- as a middle class kid from Ohio, my parents would point us toward North Carolina when they didn’t feel like going all the way to Florida. It was a disappointing consolation prize.

The popularity if the buffet as manifestation of the American dream is kind of a fantastic book idea...

Oh definitely. Wherever there are truly good, inexpensive food options, Golden Corral cannot survive.

My beautiful, vivacious grandmother who lived her whole life in southern Indiana adored Golden Corral so much. That buffet was, to a women who grew up in the rural midwest during the Great Depression, heaven. So that detail right there made this feel so disturbingly real for me.

Totally agree- I’m in LA and once you get out of the immediate city, confederate flags pop up. It’s terrifying.

Ugh, too accurate.

‘In memory of a large swath of idiots who are now on the wrong side of history’

Yeah, I am not even slightly surprised. Not a bit.

No one is coming for Jessie Williams?

I hate it when people lower thelselves to my expectations.

Yuuuusss, I’m an old and found this very confusing (also I loved the original undressed because preteens have no taste).

according to PBS newshour (arguably one of the least alarmist news shows), yup.
