Oh god no not Rachel please. The more time passes, the more I realize her show is just as crazy and clickbait-y as the rightwing ones. She’s smart but unless she can get back to facts and no hype shit, I can’t watch her.

Armie Hammer is just Ann from Arrested Development reincarnated as a generic handsome dude.
My goodness, the number of white males who are leaders on feminism, racism, diversity, sexism... it’s so overwhelming! There are so many, and they are so good, that they just naturally crowd out the few people of color and women who could speak on these issues. Besides, the white men are better at it, anyway.
Having watched the rest of the season, yeah, if the violence in the first episode is too much for you you’d better stop there.
1. You’ve never met a cop who didn’t know you?
Ben Barnes was basically emanating evil with his perfect hair and beard. He was so good-looking, I had to root against him.
It’s a perfectly cromulent word, acturally.
You’re too late, I finished it when it first came out. I do wish I could go back in time and slap myself for forcing my way through that whole damn thing. Season 2 (FOR THE LOVE OF GOD WHY DID THEY APPROVE SEASON 2) will be the first Marvel anything I choose not to watch.
Bernthal should get serious Emmy consideration for his layered portrayal of what could be a very one note Punisher in different hands. His chemistry with Micro is totally lived in and realistic. I came in expecting this to possibly be average at best and it’s so much better.
Just finished ep3 and I agree, Kandahar gets more compelling immediately. They also did a lot more showing than telling, which was a welcome change.
My god is she great in The Expanse. I hope that we see more of her after this episode and I suspect we will. You don’t cast Shohreh Aghdashloo for a cameo scene. This is already way nuanced in one episode than I could hope for, and I hope given Bernthal’s performance that it continues.
Somewhere (here maybe?) I read that this was the most standalone Marvel show yet.
In the darkest timeline, you might fight fire memes with fire memes.
Nah. Part of the appeal of John Wick is that it’s a parody of genre/action films. It’s a bit of a wink at the ridiculousness of those films. One of the main jokes is the body count itself. One man isn’t actually supposed to be able to do that.
I exclusively access Jez on my phone, so I honestly have barely any idea how Kinja works.
I’ve read that assholes succeed because they’re less likely to consider others in decisions which lead to their advancement.
Because predatory creeps are very good at getting what they want. They can simulate decency when called for.
But... what kind of friend gives her friend’s social security numbers to an organization she knows to be a scam?
Grown women who are obsessed with Disney/Disney characters/clothes with Disney characters.....disturb me. It’s like some weird childhood regression that is troubling.
Also, therapy is expensive, and PTSD can make it hard to work. I can think of all sorts of reasons to take a settlement.
