...the mural is likely from Philly - the city in which Bill Cosby was born, raised, and went to school. Philly is also very well known for its Mural Arts program, as well as street art in general.

You misunderstood OP’s comment. The pictures were from this summer, the mural wasn’t added over the summer.

Southern Italy is very close to Africa. Italian immigrants were largely from southern Italy. There is an island called Lampedusa that is closer to North Africa than it is to mainland Europe. They were not seen as being white at all when they came to the US, and were sometimes referred to as white n*****s.
