I have a relative who has lived in the H street area since leaving grad school in the 90s. He bought two places back then and has seen the values shoot up with the ongoing gentrification.

“Advancing Knowledge. Transforming Lives.”
I spent some time in PA and Fetterman reminds me of *a lot* of white guys I knew: big, burly, and had strong opinions about how to make his community better. I don’t know Fetterman’s politics, but if he wants to break away form the establishment game, I’m sure he’ll be popular and help move the state forward with the…
The sorority sisters aren’t creating that climate, the people who called the police on them are. These women were just living their lives and doing good things.
if you create a climate where people think you’re a criminal, you can be treated criminally
Uptown Sinclair is quoted as saying “It is difficult to get a man to understand something, when his salary depends on his not understanding it.” Or in this case, a way of life...
The Root’s only downside is that it suffers from the same thing every blog suffers from: the hot take. Though the articles are usually well-done, sometimes a bit of time needs to pass to really dig through something and provide a lot of solid analysis.
Why wasn’t this done with a ukele sitting in front of a webcam? This is subpar stealing
This is nice, but it’s fluff. All the momentum from the end of 2017 seems to have been scuttled. Anyone who earns is still around, but now there’s a friendlier face.
I liked the article, but love the content in the comments even more.

I think Defendant Chappelle’s case was dropped.
It was illegal to sell and consume alcohol in the US. The Mob, the Bronffman (Seagrams) family, the Kennedy family, and MANY others made a killing. Some continued and others moved into legitimate businesses. this is the crooked ladder to success. MANY families have done this.
Isn’t there an accepted schedule of states to visit because of primary voting dates?
No. I’m not arguing that sex work should be legalized to satiate these guys. That would be like throwing sheep to wolves.
She’s doing explicitly what others have been trained to do without conspiring. She’ll get hell for it, but at least she’s saying what goal is: giving women without the access/resume the opportunity to advance
I’d recommend Avengers of the New World https://www.amazon.com/Avengers-New-World-Haitian-Revolution/dp/0674018265/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1525380908&sr=8-1&keywords=avengers+of+the+new+world
I wonder if legalized prostitution would be a useful way to stop these guys from going crazy and killing people. But I think these might be the types who would kill a sex worker for suggesting that they couldn’t have sex for “free.”
America doesn’t hate white guys, they’re just getting called out a lot more than they were. Some of it deserved, some of it isn’t. I just think most white guys aren’t used to being called out by white women, who were (and still are) their biggest supporters in the past.
