True, but in a recession they have a commodity more precious than money, and that is time. Why buy high now, when they can probably pick up the same car in a year or two for a significant discount when the new money has to sell?

Neutral: Yes, I have a Leaf. In 2017, we started with a used 2015 Leaf we bought off-lease with 20k miles for $14k. It was a top-spec SL model with every option.
