There was another Salem’s Lot movie back in 2004 with Rob Lowe. Based on the Wikipedia, it took place in the “2000's” which could mean cell phones/internet weren’t available to everyone.

The main characters are a bunch of lower-middle-class high-school kids from Detroit. Defeating the monster through jet-setting is probably not in the realm of possibility.

What about fucking a tardigrade? I hear they live forever. Then put that Tardigrade in space. I hear they also live in complete vacuum.

Can you fuck, like, a whale or something? And what if the fuckee (animal or human) dies of natural causes? Does the entity go back to you or do you get a pass for life?

I can’t find the tweet now, but there was a great one at the time which postulated, just fuck an eagle. Good luck catching up to that eagle

Doesn’t work. The creature has a significant supply of frequent flyer miles that it accrued from clever use of timed rewards on its Capitol One card.

What if we went full depression era here, and created a new city on federal land, and set the residents to work on government projects?

Can we stop taking Ford’s word for their reasoning behind their decisions and actually bring in some real data?

We know competetively priced EVs sell. Record sales for the Bolt and Model 3/Y show this.

I don’t know, but it’s endlessly amusing. I’m not happy these lunatics exist, per se, but I’m not unhappy that they do either.

they believe idiots. they are idiots. who believe idiots.

What’s with these dipshits thinking that legal ordinances are magic spells, and if you somehow figure out some creative wording you can cheat the spell?

I suspect Solo bombed less because Ron Howard is a workmanlike director and more because Lucasfilm overestimated how much intrinsic interest people have in a prequel starring young Han Solo.

Laws are incantations and they are the wizards that mastered this “skill.”

It’s because they learned some fancy words so it makes them think they are actually smart. It’s no different than the “Income Tax is Illegal” folks who think because it wasn’t properly ratified when it was instituted, which I think IS technically true, that they don’t have to pay it, when literally EVERY court from

Shawn Levy IS the “workmanlike” director. Most of his filmography is “forgettable, big studio milquetoast PG/PG-13 light comedies”.

I would’ve expected Shawn Levy to be the person they calling after firing someone else.

Now you know why the production is delayed. They’re going to push it way out, stop talking about it, and hope nobody remembers. Meanwhile they’ll probably announce some other new vehicle that Musk will actually allow real engineers to design and say production is coming “in a year” to keep their market price up.

Some of Ford’s most popular models (Maverick and Bronco Sport) are made in northern Mexico. It takes time to build factories and get them up to production, but I definitely see more production moving across the border in the future.

Didn’t they get like record-high ratings during Holzhauer’s run? Obviously the viewing public doesn’t find it “terrible TV” in the slightest.
