I’m shocked it took them that long to announce the sequel to that Mario film. Hopefully it means they put a lot of work into brainstorming a good sequel, but I’d also like more Mario films and Mario-spin-off stuff.

And the profit initially was from them selling tax credits. I think it was another year before they became profitable outright on auto sales.

They need to hire one of the good action-adventure film directors for Uncharted 2. Uncharted wasn’t a terrible film, but it was poorly written and you didn’t really get the fun and pacing of a good action-adventure film (even something like National Treasure 2 runs rings around the first Uncharted film in that

Ford’s shift on unionization was amusing. Supposedly he was ready to just outright nuke his own company rather than have it unionize, but his wife told him she’d leave him if he destroyed the family legacy.

They should shoot 16 episodes, then release it in two eight-episode seasons so they can do yearly releases. That would leave them with a year to do finishing work, CGI, reshoots, etc on the “back half” of episodes if something is not working. These two-year gaps suck the momentum out of shows.

The awesome thing about this one is that if you watch it through to the demo, they can actually swing it around like a sword (unlike the Disney one).

The cost probably wasn’t worth it yet, especially since they’re trying to steer people through app ordering anyways versus needing to place the order through the drive thru.

They tend to be smaller than male astronauts as well, and size is very much a negative when it comes to astronauts. If we really wanted to save on mass and space for long-term crewed missions, we’d send small people.

(depending on your measure of success)

Definitely same inspiration, but not quite - it’s hard to describe the Institute without spoiling it.

It’s nice they’re changing up the Tim storyline. I remember thinking his storyline was boring compared to the Luke stuff at the Institute and skipping them, and feeling like I didn’t miss anything when their storylines converged later on. Maybe I was wrong?

The dragons stuff is why I always thought the Dance was an odd choice for a show adaptation. It’s mostly wars and dragon stuff!

The Season 1 premiere had a lot more action, though, to start things off. They had the tournament plus Daemon’s brutal raid on the city’s criminals.

They’re pretending to be rat catchers, and the dog is part of that.

I actually do think that particular child murder on screen would have been too much for many viewers, and cutting away was the right choice.

It’s an interesting choice to have the premiere be mostly character work and intrigue without much action until the end. It works, because the characters and casting for the show are just so good - that’s been true since the beginning of the first season.

He finally found a way to talk around the NDA Swift probably had him sign!

Sounds pretty cool, although I wasn’t surprised that it has the same issues with quantum computers: you got to keep it in a cool, very carefully controlled environment.

I think once they got the “ship life” set built (probably with the conceit of a bunch of ships lashed together on the open sea), they could do it and minimize the wide shots of the whole fleet. Or alternatively, they could commit to getting them off the ships pretty quickly each season to a land environment. Most of

I wish they’d renewed it earlier. It will probably be another two year wait for the next season.
