that these are individual choices and responsibilities, that anyone can pull on the Thread, as Aniseya tells Osha, and take fate into their own hands rather than leaving it up to some cosmic reckoning.

I think they can be good. The live-action Jungle Book movie from 2016 was good (better ending than the animated film), and the live-action Aladdin film was good when they weren’t awkwardly forcing in the original songs (Jasmine’s feminist stuff was pretty ham-handled as well, but eh).

Indeed, if it were anyone else it probably would have been plea bargained with no jail time, assuming they brought charges at all.

Musk must have gotten tired of people screenshotting it every time he liked anime porn and alt-right bullshit.

If he’s still up $30-40 million (which he probably is given that the stock is up slightly over yesterday right now), he should cash out and walk away with another big pile of eight figure gains like 2021.  He’s not going to be a billionaire based on GameStop from it, but he’ll still make a ton of money and probably

Co-Ed Long Walk would definitely make the interactions between the walkers different - men and boys talk differently around each other than around women. But I think in light of the Hunger Games, it would definitely be viable.

They might be faithful, but I can’t imagine they’ll keep the original ending of the novel.

I think he wants to see if he can goose that GameStop number high enough for him to cash out as a billionaire this time.

I can’t remember the stuff from Fire and Blood, but I’m going to guess he claims the kill.

Seems like a success, even if Starship lost a flap on the way down (it seems like it was able to right itself and do the soft landing anyways). It seems like the heat shield held up on everywhere but that hinge, which is good.

You’re trying to impose an overly literal definition of market manipulation on this, when that’s not how it works. If the SEC does go after him over this, they’ll argue that he knew that his sudden return would cause a movement in the share price (and that it was plausible to expect his followers on social media to

I think they’ve got at least three seasons of material. First season was the the first game, but going forward they’re going to basically have 2 protagonists in every season and there’s a lot of flashback stuff they could turn into episodes if they want.

It sounds like they’re going to end the second season with the death of [spoilers] if that above image is any guide. I’m wondering now if they’re going to turn some of the Ellie flashback stuff into the episodes of Season 2, have it end with the above spoiler stuff, and only really introduce Abby & Friends in the

Bad guy will probably be whoever the most famous actor is in it (besides Daniel Craig obviously).

Bloomberg had an interesting piece recently where they pointed out that Spotify subscribers had one of the lowest cancellation rates with their subscriptions out of any tech service - it was something like 2% of them drop per year. They could probably raise their prices quite a bit and still keep that at an acceptable

He bought a bunch of call options on GameStop right before going back on social media, so I think it’s pretty clear he was hoping his presence alone would jack up the stock price and make him a lot of money. I bet the SEC could get him on market manipulation over that.

Because they’re a bunch of dumb internet cultists who made him into a prophet after March 2021.

SEC needs to go after him for market manipulation. There’s a piece from the Wall Street Journal out where they interviewed E-Trade employees, and they identified that he’d bought call options on GameStop right before returning to Twitter. I guess he decided $50 million wasn’t enough - he needed to see if he could have

I think that’s more of a problem if they simply can’t spend anytime on land at all. If they can move up temporarily onto beaches and so forth, then they’ve got access to dry land stuff even if they have to do things like take extra steps to make sure their gills don’t dry out while they’re doing it.

They should have just said that the Q were the original bipedal humanoids, and all the humanoid aliens were their pet projects.
