To be honest, I didn’t even know that people didn’t like Ghostbusters 2 until maybe 3 years ago. I haven’t watched either movie as an adult, but I really liked it as a kid and even preferred it to the first movie.  

Well put. Despite the films valid criticisms, it continues to be wholly entertaining. I watch it every New Years eve.

I love this movie. Its hilarious. Best part is the scene with the judge. Viggo is a great villain and that baby was adorable. 

The entire courtroom scene is among the best 20 minutes in the franchise.  From Louis trying to defend them to the judge losing his mind as he tries to condemn them to the Ghostbusters doing what they do best. Its seriously fun.

Ghostbusters II is trapped in a perfect middle ground: it is worse than the original and better than most mediocre sequels. Just good and bad enough to justify both POVs.
