And yet...I still feel safe when driving my ‘87 BMW 635Csi...maybe because my hood is about a mile long (although I do have ABS, at least)

I’ve seen at least a couple of them over the past month here in the Bay Area...on streets in my city and in nearby San Francisco. So, I guess it didn’t take long. It’s like seeing a horizontal refrigerator on wheels. Very jarring and not cool. At all.

Hmmm... I have a 1987 BMW 635, and 3 years ago I slid into a curb on some wet at 25mph. Hit the front and side of the RF wheel. BENT the control arm, broke a bracket. Drove it home (one mile) and got the arm replaced. Was I just lucky?

Also...A few of the rare e24 BMW Alpinas got tartan seat inserts. Glorious in green...I’ve seen a handful of e24 Alpinas in person, and the green & black interior matched a Cypress Green body color on a car at the Monterey Motorsport Reunion a few years ago. The houndstooth tho? 🤢

I’m torn about the lack of plaid in my 2012 Autobahn...leather is easier to clean, holds up longer. But it is an adorable distinction. Oh well, I enjoy the golf ball shifter. And would not give up the other features I got in exchange, like sunroof, keyless entry and push button start. 18 inch wheels also helpful

Oh so some idiot’s comment means we all think this way? Yep, still arguing in good faith I see.

Hell yes!! Where have you been? Google it yourself, I’m not your mom. You don’t argue in good faith, so...

Exaaactly this

Please show me on the doll where California hurt you....

Might be a Left Coaster like me. Small cars are AWESOME here in the Gray Area. My GTI is perfect for the tight parking. Not saying people here aren’t still crazy for SUVs (they are), or luxury cars, but I’d bet small sporty cars and econoboxes are a close second to SUVs

Different lady, same outfit: “I’m fixin to cut a bitch.”

I would have bought my GTI with a manual, but for my husband’s sake...he never learned to drive stick.. Just isn’t open to learning, even though I could easily teach him. If he were of a younger generation I could understand, but as a Gen Xer?? Stubborn! :/ He of course has no idea what he’s missing. I do have to

A bargain!

Not defending him at all. I think what he did was disgusting. How can you possibly infer that from what I wrote, that I defend him? Jebus now you KNOW you’re being unfair. I’m curious if people were freaking out like this when folks first started calling restaurants for delivery? Same thing, right? We just have a

Thanks for being civil with this poor woman. As a woman, I agree with your points. Also, I actually do a side gig for DoorDash and I know how the app that Doordashers use WORKS. NOT the same one that customers use. Oh yeah, I have that one too, and am sometimes a customer. Every time I try to give some commenters you

No need to get nasty. What I’m saying is, this is one stop of many during your day. Do you actually DoorDash? No? Because I do. Again, it’s a fast-paced job. And in a large city. He’d have had to stop and write it down. I’m not attributing this guy with super human abilities to remember an address and route hours or

So far I’m not seeing comments from people who actually work for DoorDash, except me. It’s a side hustle for me - I have a full time job and do this for extra cash. The “Dasher” app - the one workers use- is a separate app from the one customers use. I have that one too and use it occasionally. I must repeat here: a

He absolutely does not have her address unless he physically wrote it down while in the process of delivery (very very unlikely). I do Dash as a side gig (I’m female). It’s a completely different app from the customer facing one. You only have the address through Google Maps and it goes away after delivery. Stop

That “dummy number” thing must be new, because I’ve texted with a customer after delivery (I Dash part time, yes female). As I’ve said before, the Dasher app is completely separate from the customer app. I am a customer too. I have two separate apps on my phone. I get someone’s address from within the Dasher app’s navi
