Mitsubishi didn’t sell in Canada at the time, and the Plymouth Laser didn’t come in the top-of-the line version that the Talon did, so it was the only choice.
I had all kinds of electrical problems with mine. It went through batteries and headlights like fury, cooked a couple of sets of ignition cables, oh, and needed a couple of thermostat changes as well. Minor problems, in the long run.
Since it’s a Canadian model, it won’t have a mouse-belt. I owned a ‘91 TSi AWD, and I couldn’t import it into the States when I moved down there in the late ‘90s, because it didn’t have a ‘passive restraint system’. I had to take it back to Canada and sell it. I still miss that car sometimes.
Really, if you like Jonny Quest, try to find the old series put out by Comico in the late ‘80s. The first issue was authentic Doug Wildey artwork, and Dave Stevens did a lot of the art, too.
