I have lived in or around the Twin Cities of Minnesota for my entire life.

Not only are you blind as a bat, but you have failed at the most basic of tasks before replying:

Their spring rolls are awesome — they put a rolled tube of fried rice paper down the middle, which gives them an unexpected crunch. The beef in lot leaves are also fantastic, and their specialty broken rice platter (#16 on the menu) is amazing; grilled pork, shredded pork/pork skin, steamed egg loaf, shrimp cake in

I would have gotten the regular Pilot Sports instead of the Sport Cups, but that was what they car that the dealer had came with. So I went with the flow.

Well, my co-workers would be just as confused by running shoes as they are by tires, but that might work for other people that I know!

We probably have a slightly different definition of the word “optimal.” To take a Marcus Ultrascreen as an example, optimal for me is third row from the top, dead center. Second row from the top is tolerable, but not optimal.

I had a 2014 ST the last two years that I finally traded in for the RS this year. I never put different tires on it, and as a result I rarely took it out in the winter. Snow or ice were obvious deathtraps, but yes, even at 30 degrees on dry pavement, those tires were barely usable.

The big thing with the 4K is not the 4K resolution; it is the HDR. Done properly, that is the real game changer. And you can get some very good 4K capable projectors that do pixel shifting to simulate 4K, plus HDR, and at a pretty reasonable price, too. But the standards regarding HDR formats, and how projectors

MT Noodles in Brooklyn Park. Outside of Eat Street in Minneapolis or Frogtown in St. Paul, it is my favorite Vietnamese food in the state. And it is one of the only places left in the Twin Cities that serves beef in lot leaves, and serves it properly with rice paper wrappers & all the trimmings to roll your own spring

Those are nearly $3,000 worth of brand new Octane seats, so no Barcoloungers in my future!

I ended up with the Pilot Sport Cup 2s on the RS that I bought last year, with the 19" rims. I have not wanted to spend money on winter tires & rims at this point, so my car has been sitting in the garage a lot. (I drive a company vehicle for work, so the RS is more for fun than anything else.) Even if the roads are

People keep making the comments, so I keep having to repeat myself explaining it. But that is the nature of Kinja — many people reply to the original post, don’t read anything after it, and then only see replies to their own comment when they get notifications. Such is life.

No, movie theatres do not gouge the pricing of food and drink “just because they can.” It is true that you are in a captive audience situation, just like at an amusement park, but the reality with theatres is a little more complicated than that. Part of the reason for the insanely high pricing is because of the large

I will copy & paste this comment again, since you must not have seen the post where I answered that complaint:

Speaking as someone who works for a Pepsi distributor, I promise not to hold that against you!

Actually, back when Kerasotes originally built both the Coon Rapids & Inver Grove Heights locations, they were Pepsi. They switched to Coke after a year or two, and obviously that worked out fine for AMC since they are Coke

I used to sell electronics in a previous life. I still have friends from that era, and they are the kinds of people who immediately want to check out the equipment before even listening to it. I am only too happy to oblige them. You will notice that I make no attempt to hide the Kimber 8TCs that are bi-wiring each of

I just meant that Kerasotes sold off all their other theatres in the Twin Cities market, so I was surprised to hear that they kept that one. I assumed that AMC bought out all their locations, rather than on a location-by-location basis.

Is that still a Kerasotes? They sold both the Coon Rapids & Inver Grove Heights locations to AMC years ago. Actually, AMC is the one who converted those two to recliners & reserved seating, so it was a net win, at least for those two theatres.

Thanks!

Actually, I live in west central Wisconsin. I always say “Twin Cities area” in posts like this because people who are not from the area do not understand that geographically speaking, west central Wisconsin is effectively a suburb of the Twin Cities. It is still the MSP market as far as television is concerned — there
