At risk of being a complete nerd - that’s not a Deltic. It’s a Class 37 which uses a conventional English Electric 12-cylinder diesel.

‘The top speed? Twelve miles an hour. Not a bad feat for its day, but also, dear God. I’m just sitting here imagining how horrifically slow it would be weighed down with rush hour travelers and it’s causing me distress.’

It’s the ghost of Theresa May who Rowson has been drawing ever more insubstantial as her power drains away. She’s vomiting over the so-called Chequers agreement which was meant to settle Brexit and is being neglected by the new special relationship.

Did we already share Sam Bee and Amy Hoggart’s coverage of Trump’s visit to the UK?

I admire your dedication in trying to rank members of the DUP from shitty to somehow even more shitty.

No one. Putin will tell Trump that no bugs were planted and that’s good enough for Donnie.

I’ve got a horrible feeling I know what Putin’s going to do to *that* mattress.

My favourite moment of the week comes from Ulster. Iain Paisley jnr MP is in a spot of trouble. Under House of Commons rules, MPs must declare any trips costing more than £300.

Good news for everyone who enjoyed this week in the bestest Presidency; there’s going to be a reboot in the autumn:

I’d rather it was a shark eating him alive; but it’s hard to get a great white on to a golf course (don’t ask me how I know).

Hey, that happens to every man of a certain age...

Obviously the US intelligence agencies aren’t nearly as secretive and unaccountable as those in the UK - but I am wondering if they have started withholding information from Trump because he can’t be trusted to act in the US’s interests.

Nice post.
