Oh I never heard about that but always wanted to play 2142. I loved Battlefield Vietnam, wish we got that on consoles. The Vietnam DLC for BC2 was alright, but not nearly as good.

But with the Amazon deal, you send in your copy of the game and they then email you a coupon. I'm just not sure if the coupon will be specifically for one console :(

There was also a hell of a lot less coding and overall stuff needing tested. When games hit 3D they got a lot more bugs too. Crash Bandicoot, Spyro, Turok, etc. They all had plenty of bugs.
