There was also a hell of a lot less coding and overall stuff needing tested. When games hit 3D they got a lot more bugs too. Crash Bandicoot, Spyro, Turok, etc. They all had plenty of bugs.

Yeah I can count all the horror games that were on current generation consoles on two hands, if not one. Until Dawn supposedly is still coming out, but by now it'll probably be next gen. The PSN version is cut, on all regions I believe. It took me a ton of research and if I recall correctly the UK disc copy and Chinese copies were uncut. Not Japan though.
