I’m a big fan of braising tops like I would collards or mustard greens, with salted pork of some sort, vinegar, molasses, a touch of sugar, and some heat (a chili pepper or some hot sauce).

I have kept one of these in my toolbox for years now and is a nice alternative to magnet strips.

With online orders for used books, you might not like the condition of the book ( I've been disappointed by highlighted to death…

I've always had good luck with Craigslist. You can see the books in person, there's no shipping, people just want to get rid of them so you can haggle, and some people even have old quizzes and exams you can make study guides out of.

I can't give this enough stars. I worked at a yacht club for awhile, and one of the mechanics there had a bagged GMC that pulled all manner of boats in and out of the marina and looked amazing while doing it.

If you don't have a large enough cast iron, a wok is a great substitute. Also, I like to use the burner on my gas grill outside to keep the house from smelling, make it easier to clean up, easier to put out potential fire, and most importantly, to make the neighbors jealous as the glorious smell of fried chicken…
