If antivaxxers could just spontaneously evaporate, like a dipshit Rapture, I’d be cool with it.

I mean, honestly, how dare she ever tweet anything other than “I feverishly slobber on the metaphorical cock of the military at all times”

But that raises a question of if you want them to look distinct/like the original design, or if you want to make them not look stupid.

What a stupid fucking statement. Like we need to spend time PREVENTING the educational system from pointing this out? Let’s just sweep it under the carpet, shall we?

“Leave it to the parents to hammer it into their children’s heads that America has a racist past”

That’s exactly how racism is perpetuated. Also, c.f., sexu

So, one of the most mediocre of mediocre white men thinks nothing of the Native peoples and full civilizations that were here before Europeans arrived?

The sad irony here is that probably most of the viewers of The Eric Andre Show are white people on drugs. I know this because....look it doesn’t matter why I know this

Likewise. I was ready for the creepy.

Did it take the fire department four hours to put out the fire from that crash?  Was there nobody in the driver’s seat?  Can you see how the two are different?

Above all the tropes and trends in the industry, this is what is killing me as a movie-goer. Practical effects are a craft, an artform - true movie magic. CG can be a great tool to solve an impossible problem or to fool the human eye, but not as a crutch or a lazy/cheap shortcut (I literally just saw a cat food

I completely agree! I think things look best when balancing the two. I just think that practical effects are eschewed for CGI at times that are detrimental to movie quality. One big example I can think of is CGI blood. To me it looks fake as hell, plastic even. Practical effects have had that on lock down for decades.

There’s a ton of great CG that goes unnoticed because it’s so well done. People like to dog on it because it’s used everywhere in entertainment and varies in quality (people always assume giant green screens and super heroes), but here’s a great video showing how CG is used to great effect in the Netflix series

This came to mind for me (although I’m sure they used more CG here). I wonder if it’s the same team/director.

I was thinking of Spike and Michel Gondry.

I'll add regardless of the deal: fuck Harmony Gold. Also all of Macross Frontier is on YouTube subbed. So goddamn good.

Still waiting for the Genshin Impact-connected Boy Band.

This is the intro it NEEDS! I listen to this religiously just to catch the feels :)

Hopefully they’ll find a nice balance between traditional and pop culture.  Japan is so much more than Mario, Anime, and weird game shows.
