The video is LITERALLY titled “The World’s Most Tryhard Cosplay Music Video”, but sure...cynicism, etc.

Well you can’t spell “Cosplay” without “tryhard”. I may also be illiterate.

A friend of mine asked me something along the same lines recently...what visiting Japan was like as a black person. I won’t bs you and say there aren’t prejudices amongst Asians, but I think I can kind of say that they’re more generational rather than cultural. My parents had prejudices when I was younger, but seem

The first time I ever visited Japan, the department stores made announcements in Japanese and English. Years later, the announcements would be made in Japanese, English, Korean, and Chinese. They were rather lengthy.

I have similar thoughts whenever I make semi-annual trips to Japan...whether as a tourist I’m wearing

To be fair, Chelsea Market’s always been geared towards tourists. The Highline just brought more of them.

Goddamn this makes me sad. The merits of tourism are always a complicated one (take it from someone who lives in Manhattan). All the things I love about Japan are the same things that are the most susceptible to disruption by an influx of tourists. At the same time, I’ve also seen the revitalization they’ve brought to

Anybody who says they’re following the directions of a disembodied voice should be immediately removed from office.

Damn tricky how it can be read either way depending on the perspective you bring into the reading. I reread your comment with that in mind, and see that now. Sorry for my previous response.

I grew up in a tiny town of 700, a normal town of 20,000, and now a city of 8 million. Everybody lives where they want to live, so what does anyone gain from criticizing where someone chooses to live? It’s baffling.

Where the fuck did I make any critique about people who don’t live in the city? You really need to go reread the comments made.

Do you? Sad shit needing to get back to those comments after telling others they take things too seriously?

You’re welcome, anonymous fuckstain. Let’s recap though, because you seem like you possess an extra chromosome.

You: People who live in the city are probably dumb.
Me: No need to be an asshole about where people live.
You: Lighten up...why so serious?

Why do people suck big dong when making dumb assumptions such as “perceive themselves to being superior for no apparent reason?”...or thinking your comment consisted of anything even resembling humour? Again, your ass isn’t a hat. Get your head out of it.

Why do people then feel it necessary to talk shit about how others live their life? I like the city, and I’ll never voluntarily live in the burbs. But surprisingly, I’m ok with people who prefer the burbs over the city. Crazy right? So yea...pull your head out of your ass and get over yourself.

Hmm this is a tough one for me. As an Asian, I can understand the why. It gets pretty annoying over time to continuously correct people as to which is the surname. You would think with our global culture that this was just more commonly understood by now. But I can also see it being more of a hassle than it’s worth.

Just include MUSHA motherfuckers! Give me MUSHA! Don’t make me expend that extra energy to go track it down!

It means “aunt” in Mandarin lol.

Holy freshly shaven testicular sack, that is amazing. I don’t even cosplay, but if you gave me that costume I would gladly run around NYC pretending like I have a clue what I’m dressed as.

When in someone else’s country, just keep in check your own biases and learn to adapt to the country’s. You don’t have to slurp noodles like they do. But to be bothered by another country’s habits is awfully ethnocentric. Just go with the flow and you’ll have alot more fun. Maybe even learn something.
