[Bungie as Ferris Bueller] Our publisher's marketing team is so tight that if you stuck a lump of coal up their ass, in two weeks you'd have a diamond. [/Bungie as Ferris Bueller]

@Random_Ant: Oh, I knew there were other plasma spewing characters in the game, I just didn't know there were any other plasma spewing characters in the trailer. ;P

@Random_Ant: Ah, I think you might be right. They used Iron Man for so many of those "i can haz plasma!" shots (like with Sue), and the character was sufficiently red and yellow, that I just assumed.

So... instead of Iron Man just lighting the doombots on fire, he instead sets a rock on fire, which The Thing then throws at the crowd of doombots?

@ThisCharmingMan: Tecmo- obviously Yakuza controlled. Its a little known fact that Itagaki's appearance is actually just conforming to the company's dress code. All that boozing up and partying is really just the poor game designer's attempt to fit in.

@Stratovarius: The point of a demo is to show you all the gameplay mechanics worth worrying about, to show you how the game works without giving you the entire experience. Sort of like how you could go into Toys R Us and play the first area in Super Mario Bros. on one of those little demo kiosks, and know basically

"Now I've played it and, you know, it's a good game."

Looked like whoever was controlling that mage was having some trouble with the entire "blast radius" concept. Kinda reminds me of playing DnD in the old days and someone deciding it was a good idea to cast fireball in a 5x5 room.

@Jestersage: Actually, the target demographic for DDR only has to be able to determine "front", "back", "left", "right", which takes a glance at the screen and 2 seconds. The target demographic for RR apparently needs to be able to read a "real drum tab". I forgot that everyone and their grandmother knows how to do

@Jestersage: So, even ignoring the fact that the RR drumkit doesn't look anything like an actual drum layout, you're saying that their target demographic for the drum portion of their game are people who already know how to play real drums?

@WGSXFrank: "I didn't need to look down at the "drums" at all while playing because it just felt more "natural" to me."

@Jeff Paine: You're right. And I just looked up some pictures of that drumkit and UI layout, and the first thing that popped into my mind was "so, did they just fire all the guys who worked on that game series for losing face to Harmonix, or what?" I'm not sure how they got from that kit to the one for RR, but I think

Of course, you should remember to note the fact that the full title of the game is actually Rock Revolution: Because Anything You Can Do I Can Do Better, Except Actually We Do It Worse, Even Though Technically We Did It First, But Only With Guitars, And In Funky Arcade Cabinets In Japan, But We Are Doing It Now, Even

"No one rings a bell saying the world has changed."

@mfwahwah: Oh. Well, carry on then.

They're totally missing the obvious, here. Using waggle functionality to basically do the same thing as the whammy bar in Guitar Hero/Rock Band? Yeah... not so interesting, that. If you're going to try to use the Wiimote, unmodified, for a music game, why not do Wii Conductor? Use the wiimote as the little conductor

I'm getting the impression that what he's trying to say is that its basically like a series of Boss Fights, without all the random critter/goblin/skeley horde bashing in between.
