@Methusalah: I'm suggesting that this is exactly what they're going to do- just like half a dozen other MMOs.

Two words: Expansion Pack.

@Gunloc: Wrong blog- try io9.

I'm waiting for the universal wireless broadband. Then I can have a high-speed internet connection available to me at ALL TIMES.

Yes, but could the lawyer who had sex with the underage prostitute actually practice law in a coherent and professional manner?

@Lainface: It sounds like they wanted to get the receipt for the repair costs, so that they could evaluate the 'damages' involved. Remember that the amount of damages involved effects how the crime is classified- petty larceny vs. grand larceny, etc.

Sneak preview at future Rock Band 2 achievements-

When the dashboard or blade interface seems to chug at any given moment, its probably not really an effect of rendering it, so much as lag being induced by whatever operation you've just told it to do (or, in the case of pulling the blades up in the middle of a game, what you've just told it to put on forced pause).

I'm definitely feeling some 'r' in there.

@concrete_d: If there's anything that the media has taught me, its that the truth doesn't matter.

@phinehas: You laugh now, but when Master Chief crashlands on that hidden Forerunner facility that the odd object at the end of the Halo 3 credits will turn out to be, and gets upgraded by the Forerunners there to have a new, bishonen-tastic cyborg body, with no helmet and flowing white hair, so that he can star in

@Gouki4u: If only they could find the "Free Will: On/Off" preference...

$10 Stranglehold + Free Shipping = Win

@Sonic_and_Tails: It will of course also be able to render greater levels of bloom than ever seen before.

@muu: Moore's Law. You mean Moore's Law, not Murphy's Law. Although I'm sure you can probably find some way that Murphy's Law will end up applying itself to this processor, as well.

@regnez: Well, considering that the 9800 GX2 is actually two whole cards lashed together in SLI, and yet the single-card 280 GTX is still only 19% slower in 1920x1200, and is actually 20% *faster* when running at the same rez with 4x anti-aliasing on, well then *yeah*, I kinda think its the better card.
