non physical hvac controls is fucking stupid.  end of.

I’m not talking about “extreme luxury” either. Tesla interior materials are no more upscale than what you would find in a mid-trim car these days. Why? Because Tesla isn’t actually a luxury car brand. The cars are expensive because of the batteries (and the above average profit margins), not because the materials are

I’ve never owned a Mercedes or a Rolls-Royce, but it beats the interior of every other car I’ve owned…”

Tesla interior materials and the word “upscale” don’t even belong in the same sentence. But I’m not at all surprised you would rush to defend the brand. You’re talking about a brand that removed buttons and indicator stalks to save pennies. Oh, but it’s got a glass roof (with no cover).

They’re not Teslas but I can still tell these cars lust for human life

that’s all good and dandy but we have to take a few things into consideration here. As good as FSD is or could be:

the cybercab does not have a steering wheel. So if something goes wrong, only the teleoperator will be able to intervene.

the passengers will never be able to do anything else besides sitting and watching

What about the times when the car/system has no clue there’s a problem to begin with? Like the numerous accidents from cars in “autopilot” crashing into stationary objects or cars? (they love to hit emergency vehicles) For example, the time a guy’s Tesla was absolutely going to run him right into a passing freight

I don’t see how they can operate on less than a 1:1 remote driver to car ratio unless they assume a certain amount of downtime for the cars. Because there’s no way they can allow a car to drive without being actively monitored. There’s no way that there would be enough time for an emergency situation to be flagged by

In three years, Toyotadyne will become the largest supplier of basketball computer systems. All power forwards are upgraded with Basketdyne computers, becoming fully unmanned. Afterwards, they dribble with a perfect operational record. The Toyotanet Funding Bill is passed. The system goes online August 4th, 1997.

It is way too complicated to watch. Even the presenters have a poor grasp of all the weird power constructs, etc. and strain to convey what’s going on in the race. Finally, it seems like every year when I give it a chance, the race is on a course that consists of boring anonymous concrete troughs. Nope. I’ll maybe try

I have to the watch the races on mute because of that electric motor whine. It just hits a harmonic that makes me nauseous after hearing it continuously for more than a few minutes.

No more Social Security, unemployment insurance or worker’s compensation.

Just like when he said we can lower COVID cases by not testing for COVID.

Well I guess I can’t enjoy anything then.

God damn all of the stupid racist assholes that voted for Trump. They have already damned the rest of us.

Lowering standards so you can meet them is peak Trump...

Popehat is an amazing attorney, good on him for helping the family.

That might have been true if he was looking for a job 6 months ago. Everyone else has contracted drivers for 2025 and Sergio Perez has proven he isn’t worth breaking those contracts to hire. He’s going to get a big “go away” payday from Red Bull and fuck off to drive a Genesis Hypercar at Le Mans or something. Which,

That fucking header picture just needs to be banned. It’s so fucking cringe.
