I believe many of the hobbyists aren’t ham radio operators, and those hobbyists are also providing data to companies like Flight Aware. They are people using kits like this: https://www.flightaware.com/adsb/piaware/build/

As a licensed ham it’s just another random publicly accessible website where hams log any APRS beacons they see. (Automatic Position Reporting System) as in the widely broadcasted signals anyone can see or receive ham licensed or not.
If you insist on flying private and think that somehow, people knowing about your private flights creates a risk, then you can also afford private security to ease your concerns rather than using attorneys to ease your concerns by restricting the free communication of the observing public.
Both Swift and Musk are literally living in a different world than the rest of us while claiming that they need to be immune to it’s effects. They’re trying to define themselves as normies when they clearly aren’t. They both have enough money to pay for security (hell, they can afford a private army).
It would be nice to live in a world without crazy people, but if you’re a celebrity who tries your best to maximize your fame and popularity to the tune of $1B, you’ve got to expect this kind of thing.

You would have to be an idiot to pay $33,000 for a 5 year old used Model 3. I dont care what color it is.. or what Performance it does. Last year you could buy a new one for that price. Only reason thats the not the case for 2024.. is because the IRS tax credit requires the battery to be made & assembled in the US..…
I did a search on autotempest and a 2018 model 3 peformance in silver with 51k miles is for sale for $25k.

I’m trying to think what kind of “maintenance” amounts to 13k in a single year. That has to be an outlier right, like you replaced a whole transmission or something? Paying 13k in maintenance every year seems like a lot.
Calling silver paint ‘rare’ is quite amusing.
I hope so
An iPad on wheels. No thanks. I already have an iPad, along with cars not built by a company associated with Musk.
The way Musk is going, he might not even be the CEO much longer.
Why pay a premium for a used Tesla when a new one is almost the same price after tax credits? Heck, the way Musk is going the prices might drop even further if he wants to maintain market share.

Well, I did not expect to read this article and come out of it feeling sympathy for Jacob Elordi, but here we are.
