Good god what a legacy. Man flew in more than 50 air missions for the Air Force during WW2, came home and made some of the most influential TV shows ever. We wouldn’t have ANY of the shows we like today without him, and I especially appreciate him pushing the agenda with actual, impactful issues during the 70s.

I disagree, I think it can be sad regardless of a person’s age. It is definitely not a great tragedy, but it’s still sad. There are a lot of long-lived people in my family. My great grandma died in her mid 90s when I was in my early 20's. I remember offering my condolences to my grandma (her daughter, in her 70s at

Anyone else picturing Lear two weeks ago sitting in his armchair, muttering “I am going to outlast that evil prick Kissinger if it’s the last thing I do”?

Congratulations, Norman.

We need a million more Norman Lears.

RIP to one of the greatest sitcom producers of al time.

His shows are some of my earliest TV moments. Sitting in front (and too close) of the big zenith color tv and watching early 70's sitcoms. His work is solidly historic.

why is that a problem?

Oh please. This woman was the ultimate STUNT QUEEN for years! No one forced her to share this much about herself. She did it to shock and to max out as much PR as possible. Even tabloid editors admitted she called the press on herself. And then she used her kids in the same way, most famously photographers for US

Please. She was more than happy to mug for cameras and put everything out there back in the day. A 20 year old Angie in 2023 would have grown up on insta and tiktok and been all over socials with her mans vile of blood around her neck. She just has perspective and kids now.

Out of the grays with you!

I haven’t watched most of these, and I have watched many not mentioned here. I only wanted to say that The Last of US’ third episode (I think it is the one mentioned in the slide) is the best episode of anything this year, period.

Also Star Trek: Lower Decks

Yeeeeaaahhh... you don’t punch people in the face for being annoying. Not if you’re that rich. Dumb move by Tyson.

It is not the ads that are the problem it is the attitude and culture that is the problem. The “I have the right and freedom to do anything”, “I am invinviable”, “i wont get caught, the other person will”, “I am better than everyone else”, “ everyone for themselves”, “I am special”, and so on. We have a mindset that

Better yet, we should just ban all forms of advertising across all platforms.

Should have Star Trek: Strange New Worlds.

Are you familiar with her work here? She’s tedious.

Why not just spring for a heated garage instead?

Building a heated garage is as expensive as a EV lol.

Well, energy is expensive in Scandinavia, and heating a garage isn’t super efficient. Clearly EVs need to have a proper system to make this a non-issue in colder places.
