My 200 HP GTI could go 155. Both of them could actually.

No matter what happened, if they had been in a 200hp car they probably would still be alive.

I’m sorry, but this doesn’t make any sense.

Tesla could work on reducing the amount of anti-Tesla content by not doing shoddy crap like this.

Nah. Nobody likes drunk drivers.

Nowadays, we’re evidently not allowed to tell the story of enigmatic personalities. They need to be relegated to a box on a shelf, and never told, otherwise someone will be upset by it.

Maybe that’s a bit over the top? A “serial killer” mentality is a bit unfair; pretty much everyone in motorsport was inurred to accidental death in that period. You probably would not have had motorsports in that era without that callousness.

There’s a reason why we put a limitations period on filing a lawsuit for even very serious acts. Evidence tends to evaporate over time. It’s problematic to ask someone to defend themselves against allegations that occurred years or decades ago.

It takes a special kind of person to manage to find smug, self-righteous comfort in another person actually not doing the wrong thing.

Because when you try to kill someone, you go to jail. DUI is attempting to kill people. Just because she was unsuccessful, doesn't mean she didn't try.

Taking away her license before she kills someone would be a good idea. Let her work out her issues without driving for a few years. Serious penalties if she’s caught driving without one.

The one you’re replying to is a regular conservo-troll around these sites.  He’s the the one that posted that wall of excrement porn on the last Jezebel story thread.

You may not have intended it that way but plenty of people do justify terrible things that people do based on their past. And what I think she deserves is the same typical punishment that any non-celebrity or person without the means to hire a high-priced lawyer would get for a second DUI within 1-2 years. Which does

I think most drunk drivers are pretty ordinary people with jobs and lives and families and even redeeming qualities

I have to assume if you’re drunk enough to decide to drive drunk you’re probably drunk enough to give zero fucks that you don’t have a license.

For people that wealthy, “license revoked” means nothing; they can hire a driver or a hanger-on can do it. That also doesn’t even touch the part where the wealthy person gets off with nothing or they just drive anyway. Fines? They mean jack when you can afford them.

It sucks when the truth hurts. This wouldn’t be a story if the wraps were reasonably priced and of equivalent quality to the aftermarket, simple as that.

Yeah, we’re not as dumb as you are with the “i’m a liberal, but my entire posting history is condemning liberals and posting right-wing talking points” Try and troll again.

“I’m not here to defend Tesla.”

Yet your comment history says otherwise
