While my sympathies certainly go to the deceased, and more so his family, I also feel bad for the driver of the Pontiac. That person bears little-to-no responsibility for this, but he or she can’t be feeling good about being involved in an accident that resulted in a fatality. I would certainly be wishing for a second

I am certain whoever passed this thing for VA inspection so it could be registered will be getting a visit from the State Police in the next couple of days.

I wish Ariel would sell their Atom cages as a kit for people to add everything else. Those things are super beefy.

Legislation being proposed to prevent stuff like this in 3, 2, 1....

Until they get older, then resume stupid stuff.

Super sad but let me say this. THIS is the reason the auto community needs to come together and be LESS judgmental and MORE welcoming. This idea isn’t “stupid” it’s just that this individual didn’t know what he didn’t know. You can’t just “make up” physics... there are reasons cages are designed the way they are.

Don’t play engineer when it comes to safety. Or at least don’t take your crayon designed race cart on public street. If its a show car leave it on a trailer.

I’m a big fan of truth in advertising.

Sometimes, the irony is too strong for the universe to resist. RIP Deathkart man.

Hey! It’s that guy from that thing. He’s like semi-famous or something...

Maybe he’s a time traveler.

Your creative use of capitalization makes me think you have good opinions which should be featured more prominently.

Being able to socially game institutions like government and corporations to reach a high salary has nothing to do with intelligence, common sense, technical ability, merit, or much of anything but understanding how to climb socially within an institutional structure.

Frankly, they should revoke his drivers license. Maybe charge him with depraved indifference- but I think someone has to get hurt first for that...

I mean, you still have to look at it. If you’re shelling out for a nice car, you probably want it to look nice inside.

My brother-in-law is on his third. He also wears shoes with Velcro.

Your argument is valid and cogent with one exception: Artificially low speed limits.

Fuck speed cameras.

That wasn’t actually my intent. I was relaying my experience of a similar encounter with the USPS. Do you think it is OK to dump mail that was paid to be delivered with no repercussion? I don’t. If my company had paid to have flyers delivered and found out they had been dumped, I’d be mad.

A few months ago I noticed 6 or 7 bundles of mail out flyers and catalogs in the dumpster at my office. I didn’t think much about it until a week later I saw another bunch of bundles in the dumpster. Each piece was addressed to occupant at specific address in the area, so I called the post master in the area to report
