Godfather

Well yeah, I guess. In my head "earliest" implied "earliest known." But then the argument doing the rounds is that "first in history" in fact implies "the first that we know about." So...

I guess the correct word to use would be "earliest"

Are you talking about the sort of plastic, transparent packaging that some electronic stuff comes in? Like batteries, headsets etc.? If not then that's what gets me!

Good for you Senor Perfecto

Just made me think of something I read somewhere, "Any creature that whacks itself off is likely to develop a thumb."

I'm with you on the suspension of disbelief, but I think his point would be that sharks and dolphins still evolved and live in similar environments. Aliens from Galaxy X837 and humans would have such drastically different environments that a goatee on chin and cat eyes is just too much for him to take.

If its a the local regular bar and its the usual tap beer and the bartender and I know each other then why not? It's probably like how we used to go to the bar next to our hostel and simply order "a pitcher." The guy knew a pitcher of what...

Haha, in all good spirit, the last line made me laugh. Cheers.

That's Brad Bellick in the shot of the prisoner somersault!

I think you mean Looper...just nitpicking...

Impressive trolling run, btw...

From you "logically" jumping to the conclusion that multiple universes means multiple "omniscient beings."

He said the opposite, the each different universe would have its own laws of physics.

Your ability to bring "God" into any picture so easily is interesting. Your school of thought seems to be that "Hey, let's call dark matter as God!" and then "Now see if you can call yourself an atheist! What's that? You believe in Ascended Atlanteans? Well they are Gods!! You can't be an atheist!!"

Damn, I typed two replies to this and erased them because I saw I wasn't making sense. Let's just agree to disagree...

From what I recall of my Supply Chain Management and Operations Management courses, and also of my erratic Professor and stoned peers, this absurdity seems entirely plausible to me...

But there's life in the other universe(s)! WalternateS!!!

I always thought that the fact that we assume that life must need Earth-like conditions is exactly what limits our probability of life elsewhere. My typical alien then is a lifeform based on an element we don't even know about and has biological functions that defy our definitions completely. Why not?
