Fun Fact: "Everyone Hates the European Localization Teams" is the idiomatic translation of the title of the Swedish noir version of "Everybody Loves Raymond".

The Benjen reveal is a microcosm of the whole problem with this adaptation. The doubts, suspicions and fear of Coldhands which the book makes good use of is instead reduced to

A genuinely wonderful show, filled with characters reacting to extreme situations in ways an actual human might, has been given two more seasons, despite the writers not pandering to the very lowest common denominator of minimally sentient human beings? Is this the fourth or the fifth seal, I always forget?

If you order a lot of stuff, it's really worth the $99/year for Amazon Time.

For fuck's sake Minnesota, at least let me put my pants on first. I just kame, and that k was already making me uncomfortable before we even started.

It is a bit gauche to be too obvious about your red herrings when jerking yourself off. Or so my mom always said…

Holy fuck, that tennis ball scene just kept getting better and better. "Can't he break the garage?" is the icing on the cake of Paige becoming her mother.

Long live Radio Zork!!

I'll admit its very subtle, but this is the writer's way of dealing with all of the accusations of misogyny. If you are going to turn three Dornish women into fucking idiots, its only fair to turn the Dornish (and Norvoshi) men into incompetents as well.

I couldn't fucking take it after, I think, eleven books, and just gave up. You may be right though, about it being more to do with my lack of patience for the negative aspects that were always there, rather than a decline in quality. We'll always have Ebou Dar, though. ;)

"Varys is still around King's Landing…"
Is he? I thought that whole slicey/stabby party he threw was a one-off return. I always assumed he was hiding out somewhere else. Is it explicitly stated that he never left?

I'm so consumed with thinking about how stupid the dialogue and plot of the Sand Snakes scenes are, I genuinely can't remember who is who.

You can barely stay awake, I can barely keep from banging my head against the television. Which might put me to sleep, I guess.

Wait, are you saying they added some writers from True Blood?

I'm looking to get into the Lion Tamers Local 803. Do I put the poison on the chair, or…?

"she'd better have one *hell* of an explanation."
She did. Her explanation to Aderholt of the pros and cons of her relationship with "Clark" made me want to go start fucking a married man. And I'm not generally interested in men, regardless of their marital status.

Am I the only one who thinks this is better than two entire seasons of Daredevil?

Oh, fuck. Because I only read Portuguese (which is what they speak here, where we are), this whole time I thought you hated the show.

…getting paid 98$/hr to make occasional, one-off CH specials?
Where do I sign up?

Clark's Place: aka "The Truth is the Best Lie". Or alternately: "Holy Fuck, The Americans", although that's not really specific to this episode. It occurred to me this episode that Paige walking in on her parents 69'ing was foreshadowing of the Mom and Dad are spies reveal. Thoughts?
