I never understand why people install games that are multiplayer only on their SSD.

Of course! Imo it’s far better than Revolutions at least :D

JRPGs by far.

Yeah, it’s super fun!

That just shows that you didn’t play Smite then.

I’m playing Smite with some friends right now and we’re almost through the battle pass just by playing the casual mode arena for 1-2 hours most evenings for about a month. That’s not hard and we even have a lot of battle pass exp boosts left.

If you play Smite more

While I am loathe to rush to the aid of billion dollar corporations/industries, can’t we all at LEAST agree that 30fps locks and such aren’t done because “fuckin’ lazy devs” but for actual, legitimate development reasons?

Now playing

In part because I left the series after FFIX, I will always associate the name with Nobuo Uematsu...

I seem to be the only one that not only thinks that “Civilizations” would be better without the “La hee!” but also thinks the theme is a bit annoying because of it.

....and I that’s one of the few themes I dislike in FFXIV. That’s really rare.

Unlike one of the first sentences claims, the “bullshit that comes with free to play” is really kept in the background and only there for players happy to spend their money to progress faster.

Same.

If we’re talking about being smart it would be enough to announce a game roughly one year before release. But sadly most publishers are all about generating hype for at least 2 years beforehand for some reason.

It sounds like you think people are being reasonable, drawing conclusions based on their past experiences.

No. Even if we count the time before the reset FFVIIR took about 5 years to develop which is on the higher end of normal development times but still nothing really special.

I can understand that a lot of people got burned by them last gen and the first half of this gen with long development times and a bunch of

“But, if it were just a rendered trailer, there would be comments I’ve seen in America and elsewhere like, ‘See you in 2035!”

It’s early in development so what do you expect?

Announce projects made by japanese devs that could be interesting to them (and tbh, me too since I play a lot of JRPGs etc) like they did with Lost Odyssey last gen for example. Make projects happen that have a hard time getting funded or are fan favorites like Nintendo did with Bayonetta.

Fanboy-ism?

Sure, Microsoft isn’t decent competition for Sony in Japan right now, but, uh, that’s the whole point of this? Trying to BECOME that competition? How do you think someone gets from being in a bad position compared to a competitor to a good one? Certainly not by throwing up their hands and walking away, but it seems

“These companies are already selling their product at a loss, so it’s really not that big of a deal for them to keep pushing in markets where they’re underperforming because those are the easiest markets to increase profits in.”

Sure, do things change but I would argue that MS is in a worse spot as of now then they were at the start of this gen. Sure, they rightfully got a lot of criticism for the things they wanted to do but they could have had interesting exclusives. But now that the next gen is starting we saw that MS doesn’t have a lot of
