Guilty here. When VW bought back my TDI wagon I needed a car and couldn’t scrub the Midwest for the perfect GTI. Wanted one in midnight blue and only a DSG was available.   The DSG is a fine transmission and I spend a lot of time in traffic but I do regret it some days.

I think the Z4 platform is too short too. Makes it look sort of oddly proportioned in my opinion. The FT1 looks sleek and elegant with classic proportions but modern styling.
