Oh yeah — don’t get me wrong, I’m all for making a lead WoW character part of the LGBTQ community, I’m just worried it’s not enough to “normalize” it for the community as a whole.

One of the issues here is that most of WoW’s non-heteronormative inclusions are lesbians. Lesbians aren’t “as big a deal” to many male (developers) as homosexual men are. Lorewise, night elf lesbianism can also be “explained away” by a lack of men — for about 10,000 years, a good chunk of the male night elf population
