Anyone who has ever traveled to a car show after a wash, wax and touch up has done this. I have a 91 legend with original paint that I did this with on a very long trip after a full detail. Saves gives you just a little bit more time with a pristine front end.

If there is this, I apparently chose the wrong career......

My issue with the Viper is that, even with the motor, I don't think it's a 100,000 dollar car. Now, I'm crazy and don't think MANY cars are worth as much as they are advertised for but I always had the sense that the new Viper is about 20k too expensive.

"It's nice inside, but not really "Impress your neighbors with how rich you are" nice."

I see the MKTs around here as limo transport and airport shuttles and I bet they are great as that, but they are not handsome enough for some mid-manager to buy them.

I ask this question: A AWD version of this CUV is 36 grand and is right smack in the middle of "Small-midsize LuxUVs". It runs with the RDX, RX350, GLK, X1&X3, Q5, etc........but what about the MKX.

Came to post this. Sounds great!

I remember them saying that the V8 could fit in the Genesis, but they didn't see the reasoning. Move this thing up market with that V8, plus a V6 option, and a better looking face, and you may have a poor man's Audi S5. They could also compete with the Mustang and Camaro too

Bet that Turbo four gets put in the new Kia BRZ fighter Champagne SuperNovaOrange GT4 Stinger thing, and the Genesis gets moved "Up Market"

Drove the same route to get out to Boone, NC for a friends wedding this weekend. I was wondering why I was seeing all the old german metal, including what might have been the most IMMACULATE red 2002 I had ever seen.

That is what Dankey is saying too, but again I ask, if it's legal to drive here, where would it be illegal to sell it? A 2006 Honda Civic meets safety regs in every state, I am certain. So Honda couldn't sell me a new one for 12k?

I could see that, but if it's legal to drive on the road for safety reasons, why would it be illegal to sell it?

I still believe that every car maker needs a model like this, a Non-premium runabout. Matter of fact, some car makers, on name recognition alone, could make a killing selling these (LOOKING AT YOU HONDA!). RCR said the owner bought it NEW for 12 grand. That's awesome pricing, for a equates to a 6 year old car platform

When you mentioned "A hot hatch seems more appropriate for Chevy", I assume you were thinking of a "hot hatch" in the same way that many have a stigma on. That's the point I'm trying to make. Hot hatches in the US are viewed as "boy racer/ v-tec kicked in yo/baseball cap sideways" cars. Everyone of them EXCEPT for the

Been saying this for years, Buick needs to get a fancy hot hatch. The Verano is selling but it's not the prettiest car. The Astra looks as good as or better than the Scirroco that we don't get here in the states. The Astra VXR should be the top spec Verano for about 30k (if possible). The only other hatch in the area

Can we also get people (read: marketers, hype beasts, etc) to stop using sentences like "The new INSERT CAR HERE is wonderful and will deliver MPGs"? It rustles my jimmies every time. EVERY CAR delivers MPGS, it's a matter of HOW MANY they deliver.

Our cars look like they come standard with AWD. lol

Starting to be a problem in DC. These guys are everywhere.

About another year and a half, if all goes right. I WAS an econ/social sciences major and I still took out a loan for mine. Do what you want, as long as you don't put yourself or your family in the poor house. That's my rule.

Bro, I don't even track day, and I won't shut up about it. "Hey man, ain't that girl's car?!" they scream from their blacked out '98 Chevy Tahoe and I laugh to myself. List DOES go on & on
