Easy, Miata Owners. I'm one of them. I won't shut up about it and I refuse to. The pictured is mine and although plain, as soon as it's paid off, I plan on adding suspension tweaks and a better roll bar. I mean, just LOOK AT THAT WHEEL GAP. UGH!!

That makes sense.
I mean, I would normally just go for the v6 but the Ecoboost will have similar numbers and SHOULD (might not) have better gas mileage. I mean, if 1000 bucks isn't enough to justify cost for a brokeass like me, it certainly can't be for people who ACTUALLY have the dollars to buy this new.
See, I was thinking that the Ecoboost would start around 27-28k, as a mid-ranged model. This changes some things if it's just $1,000 premium. How many V6s do they think they are going to sell with them that close together in the price range?
Who says that's not the one I want?
I'm with you. As with many shade tree mechanic, this would scare the crap out of me but if I was a tech with a shop and company behind me, I would want to take the front end off to make sure I got to the thing.
Nope, nope nope nope....
My MX-5 has 3 dents, including one in the lower front quarter panel (HOW THE FUCK DID YOU HIT THAT SECTION OF MY CAR? IT'S 3 INCHES FROM THE GROUND!!!) all from parking near my girlfriends apartment in Arlington, VA. I guarantee it's all from the drunk bros in blacked out Tahoes and idiots with their first 50k car…
You are right, I double checked, it was without Disc brakes. They have drums. I could sworn I read an article that they were out rear brakes due to certain companies buying them as cheap transport in cities. My google fu was off, my friend.
It was understand that many of these were sold without rear brakes (Car2go type deasls). Let me check.
Not yet, but I know the Sonic is good at least. Lets npt mention, the Spark starts around 5 grand cheaper than the iQ. If you are buying inexpensive wheels, then which do you choose?
Exactly. It would make sense if they were, say, 13k new. They are basically built for city dwellers, and let me tell you there are better bargains out there for them. It isn't even "premium", so what are you paying for?
The Scion iQ
Selling like Hot cakes here in the D/M/V. My yuppies neighbors have purchased 3 of these, collectively, in the last 4 weeks in a 4 block radius.
Well, Buick had them too in the 4os, along with Maserati. Later they became the Pep Boys special but America was classing it up with Portholes just like the Euros, back in the day.
Dont screw up looking for the White House and put in 1600 Pennsylvania Ave and forget to enter "NW", you might end up at the McDonalds, next to the check cashing place.. lol
I call bullshit. You don't "absent-mindedly" make that turn on 17th, THERE IS A BARRIER AND SECURITY EVERYWHERE. Even so, he had plenty of chances to say something if he MADE IT THROUGH 2 OF THE CAR BARRIERS!
I'm more impressed that a DC resident didn't think of this first.
Well, the reason I think it would do work, is because in the hot hatch segment, there is not a "premium"(or at least perceived) alternative besides the GTI.
Still, no one can answer how that Vauxhall VXR ISN'T a Buick yet? That thing would KILL the GTI & ILX, and punch with the A3/CLA.
