If I buy music, I’m allowed to:

-Crop and Edit it
-Change its quality, etc.

What I can’t do is:
-Duplicate it for profit purposes

I really don’t know how this is different. OK, so to me its pretty clear if I copy Deere’s

Somewhere out there, E.L. James just preordered this and opened a new Word doc.

I think that sort of defines her in general. Some of the ideas could be interesting in the hands of an actual writer, but she’s not a writer. She’s a fan-fiction writer that somehow got a publishing deal.

Also, from everything I’ve read, his questions have come during the trial and closing arguments, which is completely appropriate. It’s not like he was making statements to the press about his skepticism of the prosecution’s case.

Yeah, I know. I don't like the case, but I also dislike reporters with little to no legal experience reporting on something without presenting the full picture. Absent evidence that Rice knew about the SOP change, I see how the judge felt bound to make the ruling he did. Now, it's totally possible that Rice DID know

This is not wholly surprising. I remember reading a few studies in law school that defendants who chose a bench trial were more likely to receive an acquittal than those in jury trials.
