I don’t, in any way, condone this type of response, but I honestly can see where the rage comes from. It definitely doesn’t help, and it’s going to make everything worse, but after this week I am unsurprised that angry people are resorting to extreme violence.

Let it be said that I have sympathy for the policemen who were shot and/or killed. I also have sympathy for black people being shot and killed by police, esp in light of the last 48 hours. I’m capable of having equal concern for both sides.

My sexuality got bought out by eminent domain.

At least you aren’t paying off a mortgage on your sexuality. You foreclose on that and shit gets ROUGH.

Damn. I’m only renting my sexuality.

What’s ironic? Are you saying that because hundreds of years ago, the Maori people committed murder, we can’t be upset about murder happening now? We try to show some solidarity and you feel the need to point out our ancestors once killed people too? Yeah, that was definitely worth pointing out. Thanks.

Well those people are racist assholes, obviously. You can call out people for their racism, without bringing in to it the issue of animal rights activism. Why does any life have to be devalued by comparison? Animal rights activism is a legitimate and important social cause, and unless there are specific people she

Did you seriously just but-what-about-Maori-on-Maori-crime?

Dude. Seriously?

I’m tired of people, especially celebrities with a huge platform, complaining that people were outraged about a gorilla being shot and killed, and drawing a comparison to the epidemic of black men and women being killed by police officers.

For some reason her tweet hit me the wrong way today. How can we heal the world when, seemingly, the majority of people won’t even acknowledge that it is wounded?

I get it. I’m in TX. Also known as “hell on earth” (for way more reasons than just the heat & humidity but that's another post).

Did you not read the article? Yes the pricing is the same, but access to it is not. I just lived this exact article this week. Because of, yes, some bad choices on my part, I was down to only a few dollars available in my checking account. Being a holiday weekend I couldn’t access my savings, so I was functionally

It’s good stories like those that make me even more upset because I want to go “SEE IT’S NOT THAT HARD TO NOT SUCK AT THIS”. It’s not that hard to be a caring person. It’s not that hard to treat the power the uniform gives you with the seriousness it should have. It’s not that hard to not shoot people and tackle

I feel like we’re in crazy mixed up backwards looney land.

I believe that social media can make a difference. These are powerful mechanisms that do in fact affect the ways in which people think.

A million times this! I’m a completely law-abiding citizen who has easily passed high level background/government clearance checks. U have no criminal record. I don’t personally know any criminals. Yet asa WOC, I avoid the cops as much as possible because they act like wild animals around people who look like me

You know cardiovascular exercise?
Keeps the heart healthy?

Didnt read the article either, huh. Those with little money might not be able to afford to buy in bulk, and might not have transportation alternatives to get to the sale.

the inability to buy in bulk inhibits the ability to time purchases to take advantage of sales, and the inability to accelerate purchase timing to buy on sale inhibits the ability to buy in bulk. We find that the financial losses low income households incur due to underutilization of these strategies can be as large
