I’m a little surprised that I didn’t see quite as many “if they wanted livable living conditions, they shouldn’t have been criminals!” commenters as I expected. Here’s something I didn’t see remarked upon much, either.

I think that the past few years have shown we are exactly the kind of people who would do this.
