The Quote.
The quote that is always the first thought after tragedies like these. The one that always brings out trolls that insist we consider their poor feelings, and how much more important they are than our lives.

“Men are afraid women will laugh at them. Women are afraid men will kill them.” It was time for today’s quote. Unfortunately we get to use this daily - sometimes more than once.
“It’s very rare that someone is involved in a homicide case with someone they just had a baby with. It’s very early to make a conclusion as to what the cause, intent, motive and facts were to this unfortunate tragedy.”
Here’s hoping avoiding using the quote itself will preclude assholes from showing up to passionately argue that it’s just not FAIR to suggest women being tortured, raped and murdered is somehow worse than men’s feelings being hurt.
Gawd, right? It’s like we don’t even need to quote her anymore. Just shorthand her name and we ALL know what’s being said.
Margaret Atwood.
It’s such extensive badmouthing too. It’s not an accidental I-shouldn’t-have-said-that throwaway. It’s intentional character assassination.
Yeah, I think the consensus earlier, especially since there are pics of this guy hanging all over Keira, is that she rebuffed his inappropriate advances and he’s still not over it three years later.
So mysterious. Read the original interview — he brings up Knightley immediately, totally unprompted:
I really liked it too. Normally I don’t much care for Carell, but there was something about the two of them together... However unexpected the pairing, and for me, very unexpected, it worked. I think he brought out a certain goofiness in her at the same time that she brought out a certain depth in him, both of which…
That movie broke my gd heart. Like I’m still not over it. That was the best performance I’ve ever seen from either of them, I think, in the last few minutes of the film. Especially Carell. It was just so good.
I may be in the minority, but I liked Seeking A Friend For The End of The World. Keira was kind of anti-casting, but she had such a sweet, kind of off-key, chemistry with Steve Carell. It was charming.
Entourage = cockblockers
That's a relief, water moccasins are bad enough without the tree climbing thing!
He said something about her having an entourage, which everyone else who’s worked with her says she doesn’t.
I’ll admit to an intense love of Keira Knightley that makes me biased but, IN WHAT UNIVERSE CAN SOMEONE STATE THAT ADAM LEVINE IS MORE TALENTED THAN KEIRA KNIGHTLEY WITH A STRAIGHT FACE?!?!
I wish they'd unplug me from this matrix.
Dude, he called her a supermodel who wasn’t ready to be a proper actor, and yet he called Adam Levine a “proper actor”. Keira has been acting for over 20 years, has won and been nominated for numerous acting awards, and yet she’s not quite there yet? How, exactly, are we supposed to take that? It’s one thing to not…
I saw that movie in theaters, and it was pretty good, but Kiera was easily the best thing about it. Ruffalo’s awesome too, they had a really great platonic sort of chemistry that’s the main thing that makes the movie work. Levine was fine, but easily the worst actor there (unsurprising since he’s not an actor).…
Mark Romanek’s tweet tops all of them but I liked this one too.
