This person should have known better than to think this game wasn’t at risk for setting of a seizure. They kept playing even though they had one. They also could have had the seizure at random. They could also just be seeking damages against a big name company.

The person who had a seizure is prone to them.

There appears to be little journalistic ethics on Kotaku.

This site went from journalism, to commercial mouthpiece.

Just for the sake of accuracy: doctors don’t intentionally cause a seizure. The test is stopped long before a seizure could happen. The patient is hooked to an EEG and is the introduced to a strobing light, called an ISP, that goes through a range of frequencies. The EEG will show pre-seizure activity at certain

I just don’t buy her excuse that this happened because there was no warning. She is literally saying that if there had been a warning, despite the fact that the warnings contain no information about what might pose the threat, that she would have looked away from the blinking lights. But since there was no warning

How, did someone make an epileptic play Cyberpunk? Your arguments are disingenuous at best.

I have a form of epilepsy. Jav is right. I’m fully aware that video games can trip it for decades now... I informed my daughter that it was possible she could have the same issue when she started gaming, and told her the ways that I deal with it so she can protect herself.

It doesn’t stop us from gaming. A warning

If you’re allergic to dogs then you don’t fucking go and pet dogs, if you do then it’s on you. Don’t go blaming others. Learn to take some fucking responsibility for your action.

Came here hoping someone in this comment section had this much common sense. A little faith in humanity has been restored. Is there no responsibility on the person playing the game who suffers from epilepsy, playing video games, that for YEARS, have been known to possibly induce epileptic seizures?

I would like to know why so many people are pulling out pitchforks and torches.

And would probably also know to not rely solely on the in-game warning. And, again, if you are playing a game like Cyberpunk this is very likely far from your first rodeo. You would know a game like this, especially with this theme, is going to have the same risk. Is it really your position that had the warning

It likely does have a warning. The 1 they are talking about was the review verison without certification. They prolly required it to be certified. I’ve honestly only seen like 1 game with a warning tho. Those lights aren’t used to cause seizes in dr offices, that’s incorrectly reported by article. Majority don’t have

Adding to that, these seizures are not inducible on people without a specific gene predisposition.

From a neurologist friend:

But... It does have a warning...

Playing devil's advocate can be a useful technique to see different sides of an issue or situation. It's when people enjoy it that they start being contrary as a lifestyle, just trying to feel special.

It sort of makes sense, though. Those that go to college are probably in a theater or film program, so they’re not focused on STEM and medicine. A lot don’t go to college and probably didn’t have traditional focus in high school. Some don’t even finish school. And then there’s the child actors who were taught by an

That “ I was questioning” line is the fall back for when you thought you were posting some “ah ha, gotcha” bullshit.

When will celebs realize that they need to make sure to do the research before posting anything.... the world is really watching them. This is dumb. She should know better and being 27 doesn’t mean you get pass for posting dumb shit. That “ I was questioning” line is the fall back for when you thought you were posting

PSA: When you someone say something like this:

“my ONLY intention of posting the video was it raised my concerns with what the vaccine contains and what we are putting in our bodies.”
