My dad would snack on boiled eggs when he was a boy and even now he’ll do it. He’s turning 70 next year and can still do loads of gardening and physical DIY work so evidently eating boiled eggs as a snack has done my dad a world of good

We also keep 3 chickens that lay alot and are the most pampered creatures in the

I had a budgie named Olga that would only sing in responce to deep voices. This was discovered when my brother watched Sherlock with her in the room. Every time Cumberbatch spoke she would chirp and tweet in responce.

Olga passed away of old age a few years ago but I think of her everytime I see Benedict Cumberbatch’s

And it’s a shame that people over think it. I think of chips and gravy as not very pretentous. It’s the drunk food of choice in alot of places of England, you just fry some chips and make up some gravy from a jar and bang, the perfect indulgent meal

They’re better at embracing chips/fries and gravy and cheese AKA poutine. It’s a delicious indulgent snack

It looks like some sliced ham. I like ham but I’ll stick with regular, cheaper pineapple, thanks

I like olives as an ingredient rather than a snack. I’ll eat a few whole ones at a time, but that’s enough for me. That being said, my mum will go through jars of the things like it was chocolate when given the chance

A runza sound like a cornish pasty assembled like a chinese bun. I think I might try and replace the filling for this with chinese barbeque pork and see how that goes

I have two:

I didn’t know until very recently that the name Jemima had any sort of racist connotations in the US. The only Jemima I knew of was Jemima Puddle-Duck

My budgies just sing a nice song when asked to clean up their poop. Arseholes

My Scottish Dad’s family live by the saying: “If you can make a pot of soup, you’ll never starve” So everyone in my family knows how to cook a little bit. Your Gran is probably from that generation as well. Hooray for soup cooks!

That would be an excellent and delicious replacement, but lamb is expensive where I am, so I don’t eat it often. Lamb stock cubes can be just as good for the soup though. And vegetable stock cubes as well if you’re vegetarian/vegan

Lentil soup is a popular soup in Scotland as well, but it’s not halal at all, haha. The soup stock is traditionally made from boiling a smoked ham hock. My mum made it alot when I was growing up

The chinese takeaway in my village reopened on Wednesday and I couldn’t be happier. They make decent food and it’s consistant quality. My usual order is Singapore Noodles and fried Won Ton, because the won ton comes with a sweet and sour dipping sauce that I pour over the noodles

My 30th birthday was 2 weeks ago, so we made a 3 course dinner involving my favourite foods: scallops, venison steaks, langoustines and sticky toffee puddings for dessert. We wore our best clothes to make it a bit more fancy as well, because I wasn’t gonna let a pandemic stop me making the most of my day

When I worked at a restaurant that did a Sunday carvery, I stupidly decided to reach through the frame work of an iron hot buffet cart made of steel to retrieve some warm plates. This cart had perfectly working doors to access said plates but I was a dumbass and thought opening the doors was too much time so I just

I share Aimee’s love of frozen prawns and their usefulness so I voted for her, but I do love frozen pizza as well

Matzo is good when topped with cheese, pate and pickles.

No. He’s just dough so he’ll be too chewy

I used to live near an excellent fish and chip shop and the fish were the size of whales. All the shops near me are shut for the time being, so I’ll just have to make chips with curry sauce at home
