Man, I love this game, but I hated that stage. It doesn’t flow and it drags so much I almost died by timeout.

Yeah, I got that line. I’m not saying Zero’s story ended, I’m saying I felt like our time with him is over.

See, I don’t think the masked dudes are real either. I could be wrong, though.

I also really like that

That was the first game I finished too! The second one was TMNT Hyperstone Heist. I also had Ecco, but never finished it.

Before the event, EA revealed the game would be single player only”

Probably unpopular take: now that you mention, I can kinda-sorta see Mass Effect working as an MMO. It would be a completely different beast, though.

Anthem’s still not in good shape but, to be fair, the devs haven’t really done anything shady, business-wise. Yet, at least.

The author of the piece might look familiar”

Yeah, heard this douche keeps cancelling games =p
Another great piece, man! Really enjoy reading your stuff.

Not to kick developers down on their luck, but this seems to imply they only had 3 months of funding (or less) and were heavily counting on their early access being a huge success? Sounds like bad planning.

F EA!

Yeah, I’ve been playing Wizard of Legend (fantastic free update, BTW) and Dragon Quest alongside it, and I’m actually loving Anthem more than I thought I would.

We seem to have had pretty different experiences with Destiny, then... Which, I mean, good for you, but Destiny had me pretty pissed at times (a lot of disconnects, and remember how rarer engrams could yield lower grade items? Fun).

By “a horror game that’s disgusting on purpose” do you mean Saya no Uta?

This being a BioWare game, you might think you could talk to them and become embroiled in some complex, inter-species struggle.”

You’re not alone, buddy.

Oh, absolutely! If Anthem was a Square game, they could scrap the half-baked choice thing and nobody would be batting an eye. Honestly, they should’ve scrapped the thing and played the dialogues straight, IMO.

I still think not having any consequences to the choices you make was a bad choice (sexy bad choice? Nah, just bad) =P

Cultural appropriation, the way I see it, is really bad in three ways:

While I agree that it is weird and definitely doesn’t look good, a lot of Japanese dishes combine sweet and savory flavors, so it’s not absurdly unusual. The sweetness usually comes from Mirin (sweet sake) or stuff like honey, though.
