I legit had a daydream abut something like this happening, except that it wasn’t Shawn Michaels, but The Rock doing a return of the Rock and Sock Connection

I don’t know about teleportation, but can we say holodeck....

No love for “The Yage Letters”?

The McLaren F1 is, of course, my first childhood dream car (quickly supplanted by the Koenigsegg CCX), but come on, gimme that P1 action if we’re sticking with McLaren

I did not realize that the Coke thing spread that far outside of Georgia, though I get it, of course.

I know, I read the post, and yes, both are correct, but I’m East Coast (midwest, actually), so it’s pop, not bust or soda lol.

Small correction, hardly worth mentioning... it’s *pop* a cap in yo ass

Assuming you mean daily, it’s doable if you are out of your mind. That is a two hour drive EACH WAY. I live about thirty minutes from Strongsville, and graduated from tOSU, so having made that drive from home, will be making almost that same drive from work (Independence...about fifteen miuntes closer to Columbus) on

If I was going to be snowed in like those in the Mid-Atlantic, I only have three games that would get me through: Ace Combet 5 :The Unsung War, Ace Combet Zero: The Belkan War, and Mass Effect 2

Gotta love a good excuse to use the word ‘chevron’ without referring to an oil company

San Fran, London and Seattle for me

Of course not. As a Tribe fan from Akron, I can safely say he’s going in on the first ballot, but when accounting for the politicking, I know there’s going to be some stuff.

Dude, Omar Visquel has more Gold Gloves that Auric Goldfinger. He’s going in. He may not be a first ballot choice (though he would be deserving of one), but he gets there on the second, easily

I get the whole protectionism of the French language in Quebec (Really. I have a degree in French and if my program offered minors, they’d be in linguistics, translation and Quebecois culture), but this is on its face silly. The guy was born in Ontario, he does not call himself Pay-kah, these people need to let it be.

1. The Prayer. This should only take about 30-45 minutes.

Is it just me or is the music very Potter-esque?

No Half-Life 3? FAIL.

I heard the’ o’ in God go to ah/ae, but the As that I heard did not sound clipped to me. Am I partial because I hear it everyday, sure. What do you perceive the clip to be?

Pop vs soda is a lexicon difference, not a linguistic/morphological one. The nasal thing is the Akron A I referred to earlier, but native Clevelanders here (at work today even!) have pointed out the flattening, but not the clipping.

Actually, we don’t really have accents (or at least strong ones). And we certainly do not clip our As. In fact, the one accent comment I always hear is the “Akron A”, where As are flattened closer to ae. Trust me, this DOES. NOT. EXIST.
