Glover cutting back is really the only bad thing about this, but at least they've kind of written in some storylines that can help ease his transition out of the show (his uncertainty over what he wants to do in life, his aptitude for plumbing/AC repair, etc).

Yet another reason to compare this book to Stephen King's work. A lot of the characters and scenarios need to build and percolate for the audience to feel its full impact. I don't think that would be well-served in a movie but a TV show could really hit it out of the park just by being able to control the pacing.
