So someone who is against Israel's continued genocide of the Palestinian people is a "Nazi sympathizer." Fascinating.

Israel is not a monolith that stands for all Jewish people and to suggest otherwise is anti-semitic. Try again asshole

Royal Bigness is a known troll & should be dismissed.

Surprise level zero. Barrera’s firing was ridiculous and I’m not shocked in the least that Ortega stood by her costar.

These changelings are physiologically different than DS9's. They have been modified to be even better infiltrators (whatever that means, because it was pretty much impossible to identify them before), but at the expense of their liquidity.

They didn’t, because the studios claimed that was a loophole.

If I am WB and I show Supernatural on Max, I have to pay residuals. If I license the rights to Netflix, then there’s nothing saying Netflix has to give me viewer numbers, so I have no ability to pay if I wanted.

Also I don’t want to anyways and if you don’t

It really isn’t that complex, though. The fundamental problem is that streamers (most of which are now owned by the production companies themselves) have decided that the existing rules shouldn’t apply to them because they’re “different,” in much the same way that Uber decided the taxi regulations didn’t apply to them

OOPS it feels like over 350 lmao

The lack of this kind of specificity in the strike-related articles on this site is disappointing. This situation is slightly more complex than “studios bad;” the structure of these deals is legitimately complicated, and I think this site would do its readers a favor if they wrote more about the actual changing busines

Still miss the online battles from Elite Force. They used to be so full and so fun!

Star Trek fans are very much used to fighting through clunky gameplay in order to play in that universe.

TNG launched Deep Space Nine - arguably the best Star Trek series and it’s own thing both in story and tone. I don’t see why they can’t do it again here.

This looks great? There’s an underground comix grotesqueness to the human characters, the texture is scratchy and grimy in a really neat way, and having the turtles actually sound (and act!) like kids feels like an obvious-in-hindsight genius move.

Could we please split out the sci-fi and fantasy stuff into separate lists? I absolutely hate having to scroll through tons of fantasy stuff I’ll never read looking for a couple decent real sci-fi novels.

One more: Children of Memory by Adrian Tchaikovsky is out on Jan 31. Third (and final?) book in the outstanding Children of Time series.

They literally show the Multiverse re-establishing itself in the last Crisis episode. Stargirl is on alternate Earth. There was never going to be just one.

Post-Crisis, a new Multiverse was created by Oliver/The Spectre. Other Earths included the Titans’ Earth and Stargirl’s Earth, and presumably (although not shown at the time) John Henry & Natalie's Earth (not to mention the S&L Earth).

OR, and bear with me for a moment, we could just enjoy the shows for whatever entertainment value is there and not try too hard to torturously link them through a shared continuity which will then be weaponized against the franchise at a later date.

Does it matter tho? The Arrowverse, despite it’s good long run, is dying and the quality has been on a decline for a while.

Having S&L be separate from all that does ease the burden of “why isn’t the flash helping” or “where is Kara”, etc. As much as I loved the connections in the Arrowverse, I’m ok with this.

This looks and feels like a sound stage tv show. Contrived, fake looking, and embarrassing. The whole reason Star Wars took off in 1977 is that it was the first sci-fi that didn’t look contrived, fake looking, and embarrassing. It felt real and lived in. You could suspend disbelief. Every bit of this lame ass series
