Honestly this is a question about the US, in Ireland, you cant just decide to carry around a weapon like that with you at all. You can get searched by police and charged with unlawful possession of a deadly weapon, if you lose it and a child finds it you can be charged with endangerment, you could get searched going…

The thing is I could see a good movie underneath it all. The hard sci fi, body horror elements, relationship building, cinematography, score, darker nature etc... Not really a sequel ( or even a related movie) but Robert Zemeckis filmed What Lies Beneath with the same crew in the middle of filming Cast Away so Tom Hanks could loose weight,and grow a beard

that bit confused me in that movie. Surely both of them would have know that would permanently damage his hearing... Am I missing something in that?

Considering the end of the first movie made no sense I don’t know what idea he has for a sequel. Is there an alternate ending out there?
