Yo, just want to say hello to a fellow Blaine that I so rarely see! What’s up? :D

When the social aspect of streaming created unhealthy “bonds” between the creator and viewer. Couple that with an audience, especially with xQc’s demographic, that skews toward immaturity and you get things of this nature.

That’s correct. Just say the letters.

Small annoying yapers? Sure. Get off your high horse and realize it’s word play that no one takes seriously, other than you, obviously.

Yep. Been thoroughly enjoying Fahey’s articles for over a decade now? The man’s writing style and humor has always clicked with me. He and Ashcraft are my main reasons for still visiting Kotaku.

It increases the risks infinitesimally if designed and manufactured correctly. If this wasn’t the case, you would be hearing about people’s homes being burned down left and right.

Does it increase the risks? Sure. But that’s where good design and manufacturing eliminate these issues. This is an electrical feedback loop inside a PCB. Something that could happen to anything with a PCB that’s plugged into a wall, which is an absurd amount of products in todays world.

It absolutely is. This could happen on a PC from 1988 built in a case the size of a filling cabinet. It could also happen in your desk calculator. This was a defect in design and manufacturing. Nothing more.

This has nothing to do with that. There’s a manufacturing flaw in the PCB where the holes for the screws were right next to copper that runs inside the PCB transferring power. The screws, if vibrated or replaced even a couple times, would chip away at a tiny bit of PCB separating the two causing a power loop and fire.

Wait, they’re actually molesting underage people? I missed that in the article. Look, I’m not someone into repugnant shit like sexual underage art, but there is a *massive* difference between actually diddling kids and drawing it. Does it set off warning symbols? Fuck yeah, it does. Does it mean bullet to the head?

Man, how wealthy must one be to have a fucking horse and a horse to ride places? Does the fucking horse get the better food than the regular horse? I mean, when the fucking horse looks you in the eye after consummating, it’s got to be hard to not give it the shiniest of apples.

edit - Kinja still blows

Strange you bringing up others making assumptions when every single post you’ve made in this thread is making assumptions of every other poster.

From a capitalist standpoint I understand. China is too tempting a market to let go. On the other hand, from a moral standpoint, it’s pretty clear that Activision has none. Now that pretty much all the old guard from Blizzard are no longer with the company, it should no longer be viewed as the somewhat autonomous side

According to Wikipedia, mid year 2019 had 91 million active monthly users. So no, not “half?”, more like 6 months? You sure are cool showing how long ago you felt the game was relevant though. Seriously.

Good ‘ole Sideways Stories from Wayside School. Thank you so much for reminding me of these books! Just bought the set to read through again because of your post. Hope it’s as good as the me from 25 years ago remembers!

I closed this tab right as I read your comment and had to reopen it to give you a star. I’m seriously rooting for Star Citizen and hope it gets released as an amazing game, but you made me laugh pretty strongly with that.

Did he specifically say RPG and I missed it? With their games moving further and further away from traditional RPGs since Morrowind, I wouldn’t be surprised if it get classified in another genre. That said, I would be surprised if it wasn’t an RPG of some caliber.

It’s obviously not black and white, but when your goal is to send an armed response unit into someone’s home or place of work, you are sending violence their way. The police responding are not expecting a minor dispute in most of these cases, they are already in the mindset of having to potentially use deadly force.

True, but even just getting a few and having others see the consequence would be a deterrent in itself.
