At least now, everybody knows how to pronounce it. Wait 6 months, and it'll show up on Merriam Webster Online.

@delos: Yess! Vee loff ze Hoff!

@geolemon: Speaking as someone who used to built his computers and hackintoshes himself for who knows how long, I have to say I do see some advantages to Apple's hardware approach. There are definite upsides to the limitations - although admittedly these upsides benefit Apple as much as the consumer.

@van_line: The thing I love most about the application process is getting a reply that either

@kiyote: Really depends on the job in question. It's sad but true that a lot of older managers still look at the picture first and read the letter/resume second.

I'm happy with the weight and options on the MBP, since I end up using most of them fairly regularly. Even the optical drive. An SSD would be nice and probably speed things up by a good bit, but the extra cost isn't

This is ridiculous. And I suppose you're supposed to have your lawyer with you at all times, just in case.

@junior_millenium: Heh. Actually, during med school, I couldn't afford as much desk space. It was the library or the bed, really.

After seeing the second photograph, I have to say:

@Louis Tovar: Insidiously placed product advertisement +1.
