Didn't realise this was such an unknown way of pen and paper multiplication. And here I thought doing multiplication this elaborately was one of the main reasons for eventually doing it in your head...

There are dozens of videos online of kids climbing into these things – and even climbing out again with the toy they wanted.

@fughedaboudit: Wow. At least from where I'm sitting, that sounded really high and mighty.

@Graviton1066: I was going to write exactly that. Seems like WWF is another acronym for DPT (dioptre).

It still baffles me why nobody gives the Woz a platform to market internet trends from. Or tech trends. Or cool stuff about computers. Add Stephen Fry every now and then for extra points.

@mricyfire: It's more of a timing game, really. Unless you have difficulty aiming your index finger in the right direction (left, right). From what I hear, it gets more involved the longer you play, but it's still mostly a timing issue.

Also, 5 days in Tokyo is like half an hour in London – not nearly enough time.

Nice. I'm even a little jealous, but then again, I also enjoy going to one place and explore that for a while instead of hopping from one place to another. Wanderlust is great, but so is coming home.

@ArdelisDeeson: Wow. Way to go all out on someone you don't even know.

@theSEAMAS: But the "there" - "they're" interposition doesn't get to you?

@benjaminawmorris: Routers with port forwarding and proxy function aren't expensive. In fact, I believe most "big company" N-speed routers out there have these capabilities for less than $100. Out of the box.

Surprisingly, it looks a little better than the last Transformers movie.

The Metropolis poster only reminded me of the fact that it's a bad day when Superman has diarrhea...

Eerily reminded me of Clarke's "Time's Eye" trilogy...

I don't know about punk, but they sure do look daft...

I've tried Jolicloud for a good long while, and this kind of system just isn't quite there yet. There are too many areas with spotty coverage. Just a few weeks ago, I was traveling by train through both urban and rural areas. Even on Edge, web use is almost unbearable. There are areas without either Edge or 3G.

@Please Help Me: I'm sure I could manage with my MBP for just a month. I do find I use it less on the go than I used to, but there are some things that are more comfortable on the laptop than on the iPad. Especially if the bluetooth keyboard battery dies while I'm in the middle of something.
