He’s not trying to take away from what VAs are fighting for. He just thinks itd be incredibly myopic to ignore even worse treatment for people who are definitely a bigger piece of the game.

You dont think LaMarr, North, & Hale are big names? Granted Hayter has two X-Men movies & Watchmen’s script, plus he was the lead character in a dub of a massively popular game that was released dub-only in the West, so some of that leaks over to him as well.

He is rather obviously SAG-AFTRA as literally all of his credits (on Behind the Voice Actors, at least) are of union-contracted projects.

Oh wait, there was one time he was on the English dub of one Trauma Center game, but still, an incredibly rare occurrence.
