Yeah Katt was very good. It showed he can put his ego in check (finally? At least for awhile?) and deliver lines and emote like a comedian whose goal is acting. Hopefully he get some recognition and has a good agent that will get him more acting opportunities 🤔

Darius noting that the vibe’s transitioned from “intense” to “more and more like jail”, was just such a perfect line reading by Lakeith Stanfield. Damn he’s good!

Considering its Katt Williams, we can’t rule out the possibility that was found footage from his actual life

So glad to finally have this show back. Loved the Florida Man bit and I’m pretty sure those were all actual “Florida Man” headlines.

The sight of Katt Williams running down the street, with his short little legs, at full blast, in a robe... was hilarious.

Yes! Between that Legion bit and the Aubrey Plaza trailer I am psyched.

“No, she don’t live here. I’m just fuckin’ the bitch. That’s the deal. No homo.”

“You want one of these sliders bro?” “Yeah, yeah.” “Have a seat. Be careful. It’s very, very cold.”
“Alt-right Johnny Appleseed.”
“Him, the state government, in fucking cahoots.”
“Well I must’ve kidnapped that bitch in 1974 cause she ain’t be a kid for 45 years!”
“There’s the alligator in there.” “Vibes.”
“I would say it’s…

This show is not for anyone who can't get on board with 'B.A.N.'.

Which makes me wonder, if Van picked him up from the house of a woman he just slept with, without him having a chance to wash/clean up, then went to that party, then had sex with him in the car after…. Kinda gross, no? It's not like Van didn't know about it either, she saw the girl… Not sure what to make of that.

The shooting was effective because it was abrupt and still semi played for comedy but it doesn't hold a candle to the beatdown of the mentally ill inmate in Episode 2.

I'm highly upset that we most likely won't be able to see Darius' wild ass 2 blunt night

I'm sick to fucking death of reviewers who just want to make their own shows.

List of things eaten in this episode:
Chicken sandwiches, sunflower seeds, Jamaican food, whatever Earn cooked at home, two blunts

"the real gangsta move next season would be defying our expectations by setting some, then actually delivering on them."

The intersection of class and race here is really interesting. On the one hard Craig's privilege blinds him to how he comes across to others; so used to safely and comfortably being himself that he's unaware of making others uncomfortable; so used to his economic status that he pushes an expensive trip to Africa as a…

I agree with both those sentiments. It makes it a very complex character. Moving aside the more cringe worth aspects of Craig's fascination and the first half of the episode where he tried to whitesplain (pretty accurate) Earn's existence to Earn, he rebounds off that with a genuine supportive attitude about what…

He does seem genuine but he also falls into the trap of whitesplaining a lot. The whole thing about motherland and going back to one's roots speech was pretty condescending and cringy. Now I don't think, whitesplaining or mansplaining means having ill intention but it can still be irritating.

The problem with Craig is that he cannot understand how his interest into a people is the same commodification that he laments. He thinks that understanding pieces of what it means to be black, alongside his affiliation with black people, makes him "black" - or at least, more black. His interest may be genuine; his…

I thought the whole Craig arc was really interesting and multi layered. I might be reading too much into this, but he was the most genuine character at the party. It is easy to cringe as Craig gets too heavily invested in a culture that is not his own, confidently states he understands the one true meaning of what…
