I watched it and I do not agree. I thought it was completely awful. Boring and joyless and I could not wait for it to end.

I reckon part of the reason Fury Road’s colour pops like that was because it was filmed with B&W in mind.

I’d definitely consider watching a cut of Back to the Future where the 1950s portions are in black and white while the 1980s portions are in color. I don’t know if it’d “improve” the experience but it’d give it a very quirky postmodern feel

Frankly I have never really understood the resurgance of vinyl, I’m not really into music and I know that people say that it sounds more “true” because it’s not digital, but I still think a lot of it is either nostalgia or people being trendy.

I’m imagining what a world would think of if they had somehow gotten to this level of technology and overall media consumption without ever having had the black and white phase, like if all photos, movies, and shows had always been in color since their inception. No one would have nostalgia for it, no one would…

Can’t think of a worse way to spend 4 hours than watching the Snyder cut in B&W. I guess a close 2nd would be watching the Snyder cut in color.

Yeah I was actually surprised. I figured we were getting one of his usual films but it was actually a lot better than I expected. Color was still mostly missing but it wasn’t as distracting as the aspect ratio. I’m actually a little disappointed at movie being good as I was hoping his army of fans would just go away…

They might have been going off of Golden Age where he was and in some cases (Because Golden Age made DBZ look weak) faster. Thankfully DC realized that the Flash’s main trademark needed to mean that he was indeed the fastest, even against Sups.

Fair point about WW, I felt what I saw of/on Man of Steel and BvS seemed like he had a lack of understanding of the 2 main characters.
